Born and raised in South Boston, Jason is a delivery boy for a Chinese restaurant. He uses what little money he has to buy old martial arts films from the local pawnshop. It is there Jason finds the Divine Iron Cudgel and with it, his destiny. The magical staff transports him through the Six Voids to Middle Kingdom. Though unaware of the danger he is in, he soon learns that the only one who can return him to his world is the fabled Monkey King.

Rather than serve the Jade Warlord she ran away with the hope of finding freedom and perhaps a means to overthrow his evil regime.
