Call of Duty 4®: Modern Warfare™ is already one of the most popular games out there today, with fast-paced action and great multiplayer competition features. But it gets better – now Xbox 360™ and PLAYSTATION®3 owners can join the Call of Duty 4®: Modern Warfare™ 4v4 Tournament for a chance to take your gaming system to the next level! At stake is a 32” 720p LCD HDTV, a digital 5.1 channel home theater system, and cool DVDs for each player on the winning teams!

There will be identical competitions for both the Xbox 360™ and PLAYSTATION®3 platforms, so player can choose either one to join (but not both). Each competition starts with a points-based ladder, where you challenge other opponents in the ladder, play matches, and report your scores to earn points. The best thing is that you earn points both for winning AND just for playing, so the more you play the better your chance to win! After the ladders, the top 64 Xbox 360 players and top 64 PS3 players will advance to a single-elimination bracket (one for each game console), and the winner of the bracket takes home the grand prize!

Registration opens Tuesday, November 20, 2007, and lasts all the way until the ladder ends on January 13, 2007. Because it’s a ladder competition, you can jump in any time, but of course the sooner you join in and start playing, the better your chance to advance. We’ll start you off with practice ladders running from November 20 through Sunday, December 9, so you can form up your teams and get used to the game and the GGL competition system. On Monday, December 10, we’ll reset the ladders and the official competition will begin. The ladders close January 13, 2008, and the we’ll move the top 64 into the final brackets.

The competition is only open to U.S. residents age 17 years or older (at the time of registration), and will be played with teams of 4 (no substitutions or alternates). For complete eligibility requirements and how to play, please check out the full Official Rules before you join.
