GGL will be the timekeeper, and the official time zone for the Competition will be Eastern Standard Time. *** NOTE – once a player is logged in, all times on the website appear in that player’s native time zone, chosen during the registration process. It is important that each player make sure he/she has set the correct time zone – players can edit their time zone through the “Edit Account” link.
Match Disputes: Due to the compressed time frame for these brackets, all disputes must be raised immediately with a GGL Tournament Administrator so that they can be resolved before the next scheduled match. Once the next scheduled match has begun, players can not raise disputes about previous matches. Players must provide some sort of proof (picture, video, match replay, etc.) along with their match disputes. Failure to do so may render your dispute invalid. If there is an issue before the match starts, contact a Tournament Administrator immediately. Choosing to continue to play the match may render the dispute invalid. To raise a dispute after a match is complete, open the Match Details page and click “Dispute”, and provide as much detail as possible. You should also contact the Tournament Admins directly by sending them messages on the GGL messaging system. The GGL IDs for the main Tournament Admins are: GGL xterm, GGL Beef, GGL-Owens, and GGL-DonKing.

Match Squad Size: 1v1
Match Format: Each match will be best 3 of 5 Stages. The first player to win 3 Stages wins the match.
Substitutions/Alternates/Ringers: Absolutely NO substitutions allowed. Any attempt to substitute one player for another will result in immediate disqualification.
Match Hosting: By default, the player listed first in the bracket will host fights 1, 3, and 5 and the other player will host fights 2 and 4. However, if one of the players has an excellent connection that both players ping fairly to, both players may agree to use that host for the duration of the match.
Match Interruption: If any player loses his/her connection before the fight starts (during load time, for example), restart the fight once the player has rejoined the game. If a player loses his/her connection mid game, the other player will receive a win for that map.
Player Agreements: Any agreements made between players (i.e. to play under different rules, use a different venue, etc.) before, during, or after a match will result in an automatic forfeit for both players.
Lag Test Round and Internet Issues: Due to the unpredictable nature of the Internet, it is highly recommended that players communicate about their connection and play a few minutes of test play to test the host’s connection and make sure the game settings are correct. If a host is unacceptable, continue testing connections until one can be found. Once the official match has started, any lag issues that arise are to be considered out of players’ control and the match should continue as normal.
Glitches/Exploits: Players are forbidden from using any game or hardware glitches or exploits to gain or attempt to gain an advantage. If an area within the game is accessible due to an exploit or bug, then that location is off limits. If you are unsure whether an area is considered off limits or something is a bug or glitch, ask an Admin before your match. Use of any glitch or exploit will result in a forfeit loss and potential suspension or banning from the Competition, at GGL’s discretion.
