GGL, China Internet Gaming (CIG) and the OOOC are proud to announce the 2008 Digital Games Global Video Gaming Tournament! As of June 6, the site and has been officially launched!

In the Olympic spirit, competitions across Sports, first person shooter, and real time strategy games will provide a first time opportunity to be selected for your country's national team and a chance to compete in Shanghai as part of the Our Olympic Organizing Committee's welcome events hosted by the China Government!

Players will compete across 12 titles: Counter-Strike 1.6, Call of Duty 4, Soul Calibur 4*, Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath, Burnout Paradise, NBA Live 08, NHL 08, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, Defense of the Ancients, Trackmania Nations Forever, FIFA and MLB 08: The Show.

We will run competitions in 5 Regions: North America, South America, Europe, Middle-East & Africa and Asia/Oceania (there will be a separate competition in China (china.ggl.com). The highest ranking individuals or teams from their country within that given region at the end of the competition will be that country's representative (and an alternate will also be named).
